UK Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) Visa
The Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) visa is designed to allow multinational companies to transfer their employees to a UK branch for either long or short term stays.
There are four (4) sub-categories of Intra-Company Transferees: Long-term Staff; Short-term Staff; Graduate Trainees; Skills Transfers.
Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) Visa Requirements
To qualify for a Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) visa under the UK points-based system, applicants must score a minimum of 70 points for attributes including sponsorship, salary and allowances, English language and maintenance (available funds).
Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) visa applicants must have a Certificate of Sponsorship from their employer to claim points for sponsorship. To get a Certificate of Sponsorship, applicants are usually required to have worked for their sponsor for a minimum period of time, depending on the sub-category of the application, before applying.
- Long-term Staff : 12 months experience;
- Short-term Staff: 12 months experience;
- Graduate Trainees: 3 months experience;
- Skills Transfers: no previous experience required.
Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) visa applicants will automatically be awarded points for English language except if they are already in the UK and want to extend their stay.
Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) visa applicants may also be required to meet certain health and character requirements.
Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) Visa Entitlements
A Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) visa entitles the holder to live and work for their employer in the UK temporarily. A Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) visa is usually granted for a maximum period, depending on the sub-category of the visa granted.
- Long-term Staff: 3 years (extensions may be granted);
- Short-term Staff: maximum stay of 12 months;
- Graduate Trainees: maximum stay of 12 months;
- Skills Transfers: maximum stay of 6 months.
When a Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) visa expires, the holder must leave the UK and will not be able to apply for another Tier 2 (Intra-Company Transfer) visa for 12 months.
Spouses and unmarried children under 18 years of age can make their own visa application to accompany their spouse or parent to the UK but applications will be considered separately.

Tier 5 (Temporary Worker) Visa
The Tier 5 visa category includes a range of temporary work visas which allow specific types of workers to undertake short term and temporary work in the UK. -
Tier 5 (Youth Mobility Scheme)
The Youth Mobility Scheme allows 18 - 30 year olds from participating countries an opportunity to holiday and work in the UK for up to two (2) years. -
Bulgarians and Romanians
The EEA Association Agreement is designed to allow Bulgarian and Romanian nationals to start their own business or work in the UK. -
Domestic Worker Visa
A Domestic Worker visa allows those employed as domestics in a private household to accompany their employer when they visit or move to the UK. -
Sole Representative Visa
A Sole Representative permit allows a representative of an overseas company to set up a branch or subsidiary of the company in the UK.
