Thai Applicants Should Apply Early for UK Visas

Thai applicants are advised to apply for UK visas sooner, according to the latest announcement of the UK Border Agency (UKBA) on August 31, 2012.

Currently the UKBA at the British Embassy in Bangkok is experiencing a large number of UK visa applications, which is due to the number of UK student visas.

The UKBA recommends that Thai people wanting to travel to the UK in the near future should submit their visa applications early. They can apply for all UK visas up to 3 months in advance of the travel date.

The processing time for non-settlement visa applications will be within 15 working days while settlement visas will take within12 weeks.

The UKBA also suggests visa applicants should not contact the UKBA to speed up the progress of visa applications unless their processing time is exceeded.
