UK Tier 5 Youth Mobility Visa Applications Accepted for South Koreans from 6 AugustThursday, July 12, 2012
First Tier 5 (Youth mobility scheme) visa applications from South Korean nationals will be accepted at the UK Border Agency's visa application center in Seoul from 6 August 2012. According to an agreement of 12th June 2012 signed by the governments of Britain and South Korea, 500 young people aged between 18 and 30 from South Korea will be able to live and work in the UK for up to 2 years under a Tier 5 (Youth mobility scheme) visa. The same number of British citizens will have the opportunity to visit South Korea. In order to apply for a youth mobility scheme visa, applicants must first meet the eligibility requirements and register for a "certificate of sponsorship" issued by South Korean authorities. There will be an allocation of 500 "certificates of sponsorship" made available. Applicants must apply within 3 months of receiving confirmation of the certificates of sponsorship, before they expire.
