A UK Priority Visa Service has been launched in Ghana by the UK Border Agency (UKBA).

You can live & work in the UK! go >

According to the UKBA, only UK visa applicants who pay an additional fee to have their visa application placed at the front of the queue are eligible for accessing the priority visa service.

Customers applying for a UK visa using this service must meet the following criteria:

  • British Council 'sponsored' applicants.
  • Ex Business Select Programme companies.
  • 3rd Country Nationals who have previously traveled to either the UK, US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
  • Ghanaian/Ivorian/Togo/Burkina Faso nationals who have previously traveled to either the UK, US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand in the last 5 years.
  • No previous visa refusals or adverse immigration history.

The service is not recommended for anyone who has had any adverse immigration issues. It also does not imply or make sure that UK visa applicants using it will be successful in their visa application. All applicants must meet the requirements of the UK immigration rules.

This service is only available to applicants who apply in Accra with the cost of Cedi 207 (USD$100) per applicant.

Citizens of Ghana must first apply for a UK visitor visa if they wish to visit the country. They must be eligible for a UK visitor visa and show that they:

  • intend to visit the UK for no more than 6 months;
  • intend to leave the UK at the end of your visit;
  • have enough money to support and accommodate yourself without working or help from public funds, or you and any dependants will be supported and accommodated by relatives or friends;
  • meet the cost of the return or onward journey.
