UK Border Agency Makes New Announcements for Visa Applicants

Some new announcements and reminders for UK visa applicants from the UK Border Agency (UKBA) were made this week.
The UK Border Agency wishes to remind online visa applicants that their online form is only valid for 30 days from the date they UK immigrants start the application process. A spokesperson of the UKBA said, "We cannot accept online visa application forms that are older than this".
Similarly, the spokesperson also advised that online UK visa applicants must ensure they had prepared their documents, paid their visa application fee and booked an appointment within the 30 days. Applicants who do not submit all of their application within the 30 days will be requested to make another applications and start the process again. p>
The UK Border Agency also recently launched the new UK Tier 1 Visa (Exceptional Talent) category and reminds people immigrating to the UK under the new Tier 1 visa category to make their applications from abroad. Applicants cannot apply if they are already living in the UK.
UKBA has also introduced new versions of the UK Tier 1 Visa (Post-Study Work) application form and policy guidance and the UK Tier 2 Visa policy guidance. Additionally, trainee doctors on a Foundation Programme with permission to stay in the UK under UK Tier 4 Visa (Adult) can now switch into Tier 1 (Post-study work) up to one month before the end date of their programme.
A statement of changes to the UK Immigration Rules has been submitted in Parliament.
